The NRMA Surfers Groms Program is Australia’s leading national junior development initiative, designed to introduce kids aged 5–12 to surfing in a safe, fun, and supportive environment. Through structured lessons, ocean awareness education, and confidence-building activities, young surfers learn the fundamentals of surfing while developing essential beach-safety skills and respect for the ocean.

The program is backed by Surfing Australia and trusted by families nationwide. We’re stoked to deliver the NRMA Surf Groms Program here in Agnes Water at Stylez Surf School—Queensland’s northernmost surf beach and the perfect place for young groms to begin their surfing journey. Our accredited coaches create an encouraging space where kids can progress at their own pace while having an epic time in the water.
