Delivery Centres

Vegemite SurfGroms currently has over 50 licensed delivery centres around the Australian coastline, from Yeppoon in sunny Queensland, right around to the beaches of Western Australia.

Surf Schools

Every delivery centre is an affiliated Surfing Australia surf school, operating under a stringent quality assured membership program with over 1600 accredited coaches nationwide.

The Vegemite SurfGroms program forms the basis of Surfing Australia’s sport development pathway. This is the first time in surfing’s history that a nationally available program, encouraging kids to engage in our sport, has been available anywhere in the world.

All Vegemite SurfGroms lessons are delivered by Level 1 accredited Surfing Australia surf coaches.  This is the minimum qualification required to be a Vegemite SurfGroms instructor, and alongside the International Surfing Association’s (ISA) coaching qualifications, are the ONLY qualifications recognised by the National Governing Body for Surfing in Australia.

All Surfing Australia and ISA surf coaches hold:

• SLSA or APOLA Surf Rescue Award
• Senior First Aid certificate
• Working with children’s Check Card.

This ensures that your child is in safe hands 100% of the time they spend in a Vegemite SurfGroms program.

Quality Assurance Process

In order to maintain the integrity of all Vegemite SurfGroms Delivery Centres, a comprehensive quality assurance process is carried out twice annually.  Surf schools are assessed on their delivery and compliance to operational standards, and that minimum standards are met and exceeded in regards to safety and overall membership obligations.
